Why do People say “God Bless You” when a friend sneezes?
I was just reading a book, and laughed out too much when read this line…
because of an ancient superstition that when a person sneezed his soul left his body through the nostrils for a moment and that the devil would slip in and block the return of the soul. By blessing the person who sneezes the devil is kept out.
is it so…?
do the modern people still believe on such things…?
atleast i do not…
